A hunt for a enhancement of power

John walked down the halls of the underground base known as Iron Federation which he has been apart of since he was six. He took out a cigar from his pocket and placed it in his mouth to bit off the back end of the cigar. he spit it out and then placed it back in his mouth before pulling out a lighter and placing it in front of the cigar. He struck the lighter a few times before it lit up and lit his cigar and a few puffs after that. He was inhaling the smoke before putting the lighter back into his jeans pocket. He then removed the cigar from his mouth and release the smoke into the air. He then began walking again down the all with the cigar hanging out of his mouth slowly puffing on it. He was searching for a lady named Sarah which is one of Iron Federations best Technologist.

He greeted a few men as they passed and he soon came into a room full of technologist who were working on weapons, machinery and more. He then walked passed the room and down another hallway that lead to an upstairs room. The leaders room which is where John was heading and he knew what he was going to ask. Question is, Would she be able to do what he wants to ask her? He does not know but there is only one way to find out and that is to ask the big cheese herself. He soon stopped at a door and began knocking on it which was her big dorm room, the biggest and best place in the whole Iron Federation. "Knock, Knock," He said as he knocked on the door.

As the guards left he entered the room and stopped after he had got into the room and looked over at the woman. He glanced behind him when he heard the guards exit the room and shut the door behind him. He then turned his eyes towards the woman who stood in front of him as he walked forward. His dog tags jingling together held by a metal beaded dog tag necklace chain. When he heard the woman sorting through the papers he looked at the papers and watched as she sorted through each one until she found his. When he heard her ask if his name was john nickleson he nodded. "Yes Ma'am," He said respectfully seeing how she is the leader of the Iron Federation.


He looked at the woman and then swallowed his saliva being a bit nervous but then shook it off and then looked at her when she asked what she could do for him. "Well, I would like to know if their is a operation which could make my bones stronger. Some type of injection, or coating of some sort maybe? I would like to take the risk if there is any," He said asked as he stood in the same spot he had been standing since he entered the room. The woman seemed to have just woken up. He wondered if he had come at a bad time or if he should come back later and ask. Some people don't like to be spoke to until they had their morning breakfast or coffee. "Should I could back later?" He asked curiously.


Then again, If he waited til later she might be to busy to be able to assist him until tomorrow so he might as well stay. It wouldn't be the first time he had pissed someone off in the morning time by just asking them a favor. He gripped the end of the cigar and then took one last puff before putting the cigar out in his hand. The burn on his palm soon regenerated and healed as if he had never burned the cigar out on his palm. He waved his hand around to get rid of the smoke just encase she did not like people smoking in her room. "Sorry," He said as he coughed a bit.

An unclear, recurring message crackled over the communication systems on all frequencies. The voice of a young man, it sounded mostly emotionless, but a forlorn undertone was present.


"This is Shade, captain of Wraith Company in the Vegas Safezone. I am sending this message to warn any survivors that may still be out there. Stay away. We have recently come under attack by a growing horde of the damned. Our defenses are faltering, and we are no longer confident in our ability to repel the enemy. The audio crackles, gunshots and screams can be heard over the link. The speaker seems to be adressing someone else. "Get those civilians the fuck out of here!" More gunshots, and inhuman moans.
"Shit! Fall back to the secondary checkpoint. We need to get closer to the stormwall!" Footsteps mixed with gunfire can still be heard as the speaker returns his attention to the message. His voice seems frantic and stressed. "I will repeat. We are being overrun. DO NOT come to the Vegas Safe-" The voice is suddenly cut off, and an inhuman scream is heard, along with shuffling and a crash. A second voice can be heard among the static. "Dammit! Get this thing off of me!" A single gunshot. "Keep moving, GO!" Dammit! They're on the buildingtops! They've got us fucking surrounded cap-" Then the message cuts out suddenly, and static follows.
